How can postnatal yoga benefit you?
If you recently gave birth or if your last pregnancy was years ago but you’re still suffering from postpartum complications Yoga can help.
We all know how fragile our body is after giving birth, particularly our
core and pelvic floor muscles.

My Postnatal yoga online classes will help you to:

If you are suffering from diastasis recti, pelvic floor pain, incontinence, back-pain or other complications then a gentle yoga program will allow you to slowly strengthen your body and help yourself heal.
→ Prevent further injury to your core and pelvic floor
Weakness in your core and pelvic floor after child birth is very common. It’s also very easy to further injure yourself if you don’t start slow. Postnatal yoga is gentle enough so you can ease back into exercise while starting to strengthen your core muscles to prevent further injury.
→ Further your awareness of your body movements
Yoga helps to keep us present in all aspects of our being, including our mind, body, breath, emotions, and inner-self. Proper breathing can also help you to bring awareness to your body movements and pelvic floor for a safe recovery.

What to expect
My one-on-one and group classes for moms are taught in the convenience of your own home through a Zoom live video call.
My classes are 60 or 90 minutes and include stretching, breathing techniques, strengthening flows and relaxing poses.
The individual classes will be adjusted to your present mood and follow an individual plan, that we customize for you in advance.
After the class you’ll feel physically rejuvenated and relaxed, as well as clear and fresh in your mind.

This program works for women of all ages and stages, no matter their age, experience in exercises, or yoga.
We go through the content together week by week for 8 weeks. However, you have access to the content for 6 months.
The program is designed in 3 main categories:
First, you’ll have 24 video classes of exercises and yoga. The plan is 3 classes per week. However, if you can’t do it this way, we can modify it for you.
Second, you have 8 live (via zoom) group coaching sessions, where you learn all about how to take care of your pelvic health that supports the healing of prolapse.
Third, is your 1:1 private sessions with Katerina, where you get all the modifications that you need, your personal circumstances discussed and your questions privately answered.

Prolapse is a complicated condition, like many conditions, I believe, it requires to have a holistic all-in-one approach to healing. In this program, you’ll learn the foundation knowledge, natural daily practices, and exercises that support healing. While I don’t promise that you will completely heal prolapse after 8 weeks of this program (there are no such programs on Earth that will heal prolapse in weeks), however, I guarantee that you will learn what you need to manage your prolapse symptoms in your daily life and will practice the exercises that support healing and strengthening.
To access this program you’ll need an internet connection and computer OR phone OR tablet. Whatever it is you are using to get online will work for this program.
All coaching sessions will be held via Zoom and other materials, PDFs, docs, classes, and community will be on a platform that can be easily accessed on your phone, computer, or tablet.
You will have access to the platform for 6 months from the starting date of the 1st coaching session.

The equipment that you will need for the exercises:
- 2-4 towels OR blankets
- A yoga mat – optional
- 2 foam yoga blocks – optional
- a chair
- a belt (yoga belt/ robe belt, etc)
- a (medium strength) resistance band
- a loop resistance band (if you have 1 resistant band, you don’t need to buy a loop one)
- a foam roller (can be substituted with a towel)
- a massaging silicone suction cup (optional)
- a tennis ball OR a tension ball

These gentle physical movements are targeting the specific areas of your body that need support the most, like the pelvic area, lower back, shoulders and the whole core. You may also be experiencing certain ailments after birth, such as diastasis recti or pelvic floor dysfunctions. A careful approach to exercise with Postpartum Yoga can help you improve your body’s condition through gentle natural movements.
You can start any time. The better question is what exactly can you do? As Yoga is not only about physical body movements and poses. Yoga includes many other practices like breathing, meditation, chanting, gentle touch and restorative practices.
What kind of Yoga you need depends on many factors. For instance:
- How far are you in postpartum?
- What was your birth experience like?
- Do you have any injuries?
- Do you have any pains, tension or pelvic floor dysfunction?
Of course your baby is the boss and he or she is always welcome to join our classes. Feel free to do anything you need to make sure that you and your baby are comfortable. You can change a diaper, feed or take a break if you need.
